The crimson horizon lies beyond, and you collect images of the past and images of the battlefield. These images become one. Silence falls upon you. However, you are brought back to reality as you swiftly slice your first orc... the blood splats on your face and you quickly side maneuver and with a single great motion your next enemy is viciously sliced in two. The rippling muscle and veins of your enemies tremble beneath you, but not beneath you and your parties desire to live or to win. You reason within yourself past the point of all mental, moral, and personal barriers for a second that feels like an eon, and realize your true purpose... and in that second you sacrifice yourself for the cause of something greater... the cause of something much more than you feel you are worth... and as the orcs and goblins flood you in that brief second, they try and defy your greatness... and finally... the world stops. As you open your eyes the world trembles at what it has created... A new day, a new life, a new world. I saw giants far to the west battling with clubs and hammers. Vikings charged each other riding their massive hog steads, their double ended axes tearing through ranks of common men. Fire rains from the sky as a pack of mighty Griffins battle the legendary dragon. I hear the sound of demons making their way up the tall tower coming for me and the thought of them overwhelming me feeds the rage within. My mortal comrades can't hold them forever and the sound of demented apes climbing the outside of the tower only strengthens my resolve. I mount my Manticore and take flight diving straight for the densest part of the fighting and it bursts into flame as we land desolating the hellhounds, golems, and Cyclops that were within fifty feet of it. I pull out my Thunderbolt Sharur just as the onslaught hits me again. Wave after wave of monster and demon consumed by my rage and my weapon. The adrenaline slows down and pure passion sets in as they begin to completely cover me. With one last push of fury, I throw them off and detonate my soul giving all I have. The other Valkery attempt similar suicidal charges into the sea of demons. They give their all in hopes that the next one might not have to. As I stood amidst the chaos and destruction of the battlefield, my heart heavy with the weight of the lives lost and the sacrifices made, a profound sense of emotion washed over me. The cries of the fallen echoed in my ears, each soul haunting me with their unspoken plea for justice and peace. Tears welled up in my eyes, mingling with the blood and sweat that stained my face, a silent testimony to the agony and anguish that wracked my soul. In that moment of clarity, as the tide of battle threatened to overwhelm me, a surge of raw emotion and unyielding determination coursed through my veins. I'm about two days away from finishing college, been coming back to this video for nearly a decade. I remember the first time I found it in Jr High. Was way before I ever saw the movie. Love this song, has helped me with my studies throughout the years.

Why is time not right?

I've never enjoyed an artist's pieces so much... until I heard this and the Interstellar theme. Hans Zimmer just gives you that feeling you can't explain with his music. It's like you're full of joy and sadness at the same time.

Ich weiß noch, wie wir beide (unbewusst) gleichzeitig diesen Song gehört haben. Wir hatten so viel gemeinsam...doch plötzlich war alles anders und ich erkannte dich nicht mehr. Meine Seele fand sich nicht mehr in dir, so als hättest du mich ausgelöscht. Wir waren nicht mehr verbunden. Das Band was so stark und unzertrennlich war, ist am Ende doch zerrissen. Inception came out when I was 22 years old. I remember later that summer walking down the beach during a family vacation just listening to this track over and over again, imagining my future life. For four of five straight summers afterward, I would listen to TIME, walk the beach, think about the past year and dream of the next one. I'm 36 now. I have a wonderful wife and two small kids. I've also experienced loss, including losing my dad to cancer this year and friends in past years. Many, many things have changed. Yet somehow, this track still encompasses all of the joy and loss and mystery and hope of TIME. It still inspires me to dream about the future while I reflect on the past.

I've been playing this song for over ten years. It's helped me write many books, wiped my tears when needed, helped me to sleep, helped me prepare for the future, helped me through heart breaks.
